Travel to Zurich for Euro 2008
Location: Zurich, Switzerland
Get There by Air:
Zürich International Airport (ZRH) is the major destination in Switzerland with a wide selection of airlines.
It is also a great Swiss travel hub, with trains from Zürich airport railway station (located beneath the airport terminal) traveling to many other destinations, both Swiss and other.
The airport is located 13 km from the city centre, but again, just go downstairs and get the train.
Zürich is located about 30km north of the Alps. It is NOT the capital of Switzlerland (that would be Berne) but you’d be forgiven for thinking it was. With 370,000 it’s the most populous city in Switzerland. FIFA’s headquarters are located in Zurich, so if you’ve got a complaint or ten for Sepp Blatter then now you know where to go.
