Travel to Geneva for Euro 2008
Location: Geneva, Switzerland
Geneva International Airport (airport code: GVA) is on the Swiss-French border. Once you land, there’s just one terminal and plenty of English signposts, so it couldn’t be simpler.
The city is just 5km away, and the train station that takes you there is only 200 metres walk from the airport.
Situated where the big River Rhone meets the beautiful Lake Geneva, this city is arguably the most cosmopolitan in Switzerland.
It’s certainly home to the most international organizations. Does it get any more international than the United Nations HQ?The official language is French, but Engloish and German are widely spoken.
Euro 2008 Stadium: Stade de Genève
Euro 2008 Fan Zones:

Lived there for 2 years. Love the city. A really open-minded little jewel.
