Travel to Salzburg for Euro 2008
Location: Salzburg, Austria
Get There By Air:
Salzburg Airport (also known as W.G. Mozart Airport, Airport Code: SZG) is fairly small, with a limited number of airlines and routes, but is running an expanded schedule for Euro 2008. Once landing Trolleybus line number 2 connects takes you to the city in 20 to 30 minutes.
If you can’t reach Salzburg from your location, it’s recommended you fly to Munich, Germany and take the two hour train ride to Salzburg.
Salzburg is an old-world city; relatively small with baroque architecture and cobbslestone streets. It has the Alps to the south and flat plains to the north. It’s also the city where Mozart was born and raised, and the setting for “The Sound of Music.”
